This week, the 75th Golden Globe Nominations were announced, and Black Girl Magic is in the building!
It’s been an incredible year for Insecure actress and creator, Issa Rae, so it comes as no surprise to see the COVERGIRL has been nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Television Series for her role in the show.
Mary J. Blige landed not one, but two nominations in the categories of Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Original Song for “Mighty River” with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson(click here to read our interview with her) for her role in Dee Rees‘ film Mudbound, showing now on Netflix.
Octavia Spencer also nabbed nod as Supporting Actress for her role in The Shape of Water, currently showing in theaters across the country.
