Kandi Burruss Will Make Broadway Debut in ‘Chicago’ | @Kandi

Kandi Burress is currently on tour with R&B group, Xscape, but has already made it crystal clear that following the tour’s end; they will be going her separate ways. A few weeks back, during an episode of Bravo‘s Watch What Happens Live, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shut down the rumors that she would be releasing new music with the group, and instead, informed fans that she would be hitting Broadway.

Well, that time will soon be upon us. The Bedroom Kandimogul will be making her Broadway debut in a revival of the iconic play, Chicago on January 15th, 2018. In the play, Burress will play Matron “Mama” Morton. The role is to last for eight weeks through March 11th, 2018. Chicago will be showing at the Ambassador Theatre, New York.

Chicago is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history and is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical as well as the Best Direction of a Musical.
