While Roc Nation emcee Rapsody is busy preparing her label debut, Laila’s Wisdom, she releases another hot track off the upcoming release titled “Pay Up.” The Khrysis and Ka$h Don’t Make Beats produced funk-heavy single follows up the album’s first cut, “You Should Know,” a collaboration with Busta Rhymes. The song centers around money hungry individuals who are so blinded by the dollars that they are oblivious to the people who sacrifice to make them happy.
“He bought her tulips, roses, daffodils/ She’s money hungry, but he can’t pay her bill/ She want new dresses, hair-do/ New high heels/ She money hungry, but he can’t pay her bill/ Pay up.”
Laila’s Wisdom is set to debut September 22nd.
