Beauty influencer Brianna Johnson and comedian Gary Owen tied the knot in a luxurious black-and-white ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston on Saturday, March 7. The couple’s wedding was described as “ultra-elegant” and lively, featuring a champagne tower, caviar, an interactive espresso martini ice luge, live music, and other upscale touches.
The couple told PEOPLE that they intentionally avoided a traditional, overly formal ceremony, aiming instead for an experience that was dramatic, memorable, and celebratory from start to finish. The weekend’s festivities began on Friday, March 6, with a rehearsal dinner at a mirrored long table surrounded by deep navy velvet draping and candlelight, attended by their wedding party and immediate family. Later, guests gathered at Toca Madera for a welcome party filled with signature cocktails and a vibrant energy that set the tone for the weekend.
The wedding ceremony itself included a unique family tribute: Brianna’s 92-year-old grandmother served as the “flower-gram,” replacing a traditional flower girl. Brianna shared that having her grandmother participate in the ceremony was incredibly important, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the celebration.
During the ceremony, the couple exchanged traditional vows while standing atop a platform encircled by white candles and floral arrangements. Among the 170 guests were Gary’s co-stars from Think Like a Man and Think Like a Man Too—Terrence J, Romany Malco, Jerry Ferrara, Michael Ealy, and Will Packer, who also served as groomsmen. Other notable attendees included Paris Johnson Jr., Andre Johnson, Russell Peters, Luenell, Bun B, Rocsi Diaz, Nate Jackson, Tim Story, Heather Packer, and Shayla Cowan. Chad Johnson officiated the nuptials.
Gary proposed to Johnson on October 3, 2022, at The Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Houston, one of the couple’s favorite staycation spots, followed by a private dinner with family. On July 14, 2023, the couple welcomed twin sons, Royal and Rome. The pair met after Brianna attended one of Gary’s comedy shows and now share their two-year-old twins in addition to children from previous relationships.
