K. Michelle is sparking conversation after revealing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta that she did not sign a prenuptial agreement with her husband, Dr. Kastan Sims, a moment that quickly circulated online and stirred debate across social media.

The admission surfaced during an episode of RHOA that was later clipped and shared on X by media personality Kempire, where viewers saw K. Michelle speaking openly about her marriage during a group trip to Dallas with her castmates. The discussion began when she was asked why she chose not to have a prenup in place before marrying Dr. Sims in 2025.

For context, a prenuptial agreement is a legally binding contract created before marriage that outlines how assets, debts, and financial matters are handled in the event of divorce or death.

When asked directly by her co-star Cynthia Bailey, K. Michelle responded with a candid explanation that focused on her husband’s character and their dynamic. “I know, because I feel like, even when I try to get him stuff, he is so removed from my life, like he really is, even when I try to help or try to do something, he don’t want to take it,” she said.

The “Cry” singer went on to describe Dr. Sims as someone who prefers to stay out of the spotlight and away from social media, noting that his focus is on his work in dentistry. According to her, that distance from fame is part of what makes her feel confident in her decision. She explained that she believes he would never try to take anything from her if their marriage were ever to change course.

In her own words during the episode, she said, “He doesn’t like to be seen on social media, and he’s focused on dentistry, which makes me confident that he would never want to take anything from me if things went left in their marriage.”

K. Michelle expanded on her thoughts in a confessional, where she spoke more broadly about her views on relationships and trust. “I believe that all men cheat, and my husband doesn’t have a social media or anything,” she said. “That’s the sneakiest one of them all. So, I’ve learned to take the positives of it and that no one can contact him, that I know of.”

After the clip made its rounds online, reactions followed quickly, with many social media users weighing in on her decision not to sign a prenup and debating whether her reasoning reflected trust or risk.
