HBO is doing us a solid and will be turning the 2 Dope Queens podcast into a series for television. Featuring actresses Jessica Williams (The Incredible Jessica James) and Phoebe Robinson(Broad City), the series will consist of four, hour long, live taped stand-up performances from guest comedians with humorous stories about sex, romance, race, hair journeys, residing in New York, and Billy Joel.

The pair's podcast currently airs every Tuesday on WNYC radio

"Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson prove you can be hilarious and socially conscious at the same time," HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in a statement. "We are looking forward to bringing these very funny, talented women and their unique points of view to the HBO audience."

Yaaaaaaaaaaas! Me, @msjwilly & HBO are about to make comedy babies in the form of four one-hour @2DopeQueens specials! Can. Not. Wait. #YQYpic.twitter.com/CImAZ8KsRB

“The work wife and I are beyond thrilled that the formula we’ve perfected over the past four seasons of doing the podcast (Ignorance x Cocoa Butter + Comedic Honesty) is being brought to this network,” Jessica Williams says in a statement. Williams adds, “We are so stoked to be partnering with HBO for these specials. Excited to add a couple more Khaleesis to the network!”

We look forward to the series!
