Tyra Banks Explains Her Reasons For Getting A Nose Job Early On In Her Career

by Yah Yah

She may be the queen of perfecting poses and of course the “smize,” but supermodel turned mogul Tyra Banks has recently opened up about some things that seemed not so perfect for her. The America’s Next Top Model host recently did an interview with People magazine that detailed her opening up about the cosmetic surgery she has got done earlier in her modeling career. Banks stated that she believes “natural beauty is unfair.”

According to Banks, the bones in her nose were “growing and itching,” which kind of forced her to get work done on her nose so early. “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery,” she continued. “I admit it! Fake hair and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility, to tell the truth.”

Further into the interview, the America’s Got Talent host also talked about how she’s not a fan of the ‘pro-natural’ movement. The model states, “Natural beauty is unfair. I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves.”

“We place a lot of emphasis on that,” she explained to People. “As a model, I needed makeup. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It leveled my playing field. Gisele, you don’t need it? I do! And we’re both modeling for Victoria’s Secret.” Banks further details, “If you like your natural self, don’t worry about it,” she says. “But if you feel insecure about something … I have a magic bag of beauty tricks to make you who you want to be. Permanent or temporary, I do not judge that.”
