Nara Smith is setting the record straight on her “traditional wife” label, making it clear that her life as a working mother, content creator, and model does not fit the narrative often placed on her online.

Known for her fashion-forward cooking videos and lifestyle content on TikTok, Nara Smith has built a following by sharing glimpses of her home life, often alongside her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, and their children. Her videos, which frequently show her preparing meals from scratch, have led some viewers to categorize her as a “tradwife,” a label she now says does not reflect her reality.

During an appearance on On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Nara Smith spoke candidly about the assumptions people make based on her content. She explained that public perception has been shaped by how audiences interpret her lifestyle, particularly after learning that she is a mother of three at 23 and had her first child shortly after turning 19.

Nara Smith said that early in her social media journey, she struggled with how others projected their own expectations onto her life. She noted that while she enjoys cooking for her family, it is a personal choice rooted in passion, not obligation. According to Nara Smith, viewers often misinterpret those moments, assuming she is confined to traditional roles within her household.

She emphasized that she maintains a full-time career and a demanding schedule, traveling frequently while balancing motherhood and content creation. Her work extends beyond social media, as she has been modeling since the age of 14. Despite sharing these aspects of her life, she said some audiences continue to frame her as a stay-at-home wife dependent on her husband.

Nara Smith also addressed how responsibilities are shared within her marriage. She described their dynamic as balanced, with both partners contributing equally. She noted that her husband takes on responsibilities that are not always associated with traditional expectations, including helping with childcare and household tasks. At the same time, her own career often requires her to travel, with her husband stepping in to support at home.

Throughout the interview, Nara Smith reiterated that while she and her husband chose to marry and have children at a young age, their relationship does not align with the conventional roles often assigned to them. She described their partnership as one that reflects their individual choices rather than outside assumptions, underscoring her position that there is nothing traditionally defined about how they live.
