Following on from her double video release a few weeks back, Janelle Monáe unleashes another stonking visual from her upcoming album, Dirty Computer.
New video “Pynk,” and a continuation of previous video “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane.” The soul singer has never been shy about her sexuality but “Pynk” sees the queer star reveling in everything pink and fabulous, and the provocative imagery comes courtesy of director Emma Westenberg.
You don’t have to look too hard or long to get Janelle’s point – even the desert hills are pink. Donning “labia pants,” Monae and her crew of dancers party under the midday sun – before Tessa Thompson makes a surprise appearance!
The video description speaks volumes: “‘Pynk’ is a brash celebration of creation. self love. sexuality. and pussy power! PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere…”
