It appears that there is some serious fashion shade in the air! Naomi Campbell and Law Roach appear to have thrown subtle jabs at Rihanna following an awkward encounter at Alaïa’s Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
In the clip, the duo discussed their approach to attending fashion shows, making a comment that many interpreted as a subtle jab at Rihanna.
The longstanding feud between Rihanna and Naomi Campbell was placed on full display at New York Fashion Week inside the Guggenheim Museum.
As seen from the viral clip, Rihanna walked past Campbell and Roach without so much as a glance, which was noticed by the fashion elite. The pair responded by making a “demure” comment during a video, which many fans interpreted as a direct dig at Rihanna’s signature bold style.
The 36-year-old Umbrella singer looked stunning in a cleavage-spilling corset underneath a custom cream Alaïa crystal mesh gown with hundreds of seed pearls caught in its web. Rihanna’s boobs are in a near spillage from the tight corset, which was paired with a thong behind the mesh gown.
In the now-viral clip, Law Roach can be heard saying, “We don’t go to the shows like the other girls. We don’t come with our tatas out or our [cheeks] out.” Naomi, chiming in with her trademark coolness, added, “Very demure, very mindful, very cutesy.”
Fans instantly speculated that this was a subtle reference to Rihanna’s daring, boundary-pushing fashion choice at the event, and she ignored them.
