Angel Reese was ejected late in the Chicago Sky’s 88–75 defeat to the New York Liberty on Tuesday at Wintrust Arena.
With 2:31 left in the fourth quarter, Reese was hit with a personal foul while trying to snag a rebound.
Disagreeing with the call, she argued and was swiftly handed two technical fouls by WNBA referee Charles Watson, resulting in her ejection.
At the time of Reese’s departure, the Sky were trailing 82–71.
The Liberty maintained their lead and secured the win with a final score of 88–75.
According to Sports Illustrated, before her early exit, Reese managed to record the second double-double of her career, contributing 15 points on 3-of-12 shooting and pulling down 10 rebounds in just 24 minutes of play.
The Sky will look to bounce back when they host the Washington Mystics at Wintrust Arena on Thursday.
