Last year, fans rallied for Mac to deliver a collection inspired by singer Selena Quintanilla , and won! Following a petition on Change.org, 26,000 signatures, and over two years of persistence from the “One In A Million” singer’s loyal fanbase, MAC Cosmetics took to social media (August 24) to announce their Aaliyah Collection, along with the support of Aaliyah Naughton’s family, saying:
“Aaliyah is truly one in a million—an unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music and film inspires us all,” the brand wrote in their Instagram announcement. “Today we join her countless fans in celebrating her with the announcement of the M·A·C Aaliyah collection. You made it happen! Stay tuned in 2018.”
In partnership with the family, #AaliyahforMAC celebrates the late singer’s legacy, a tribute requested by her loving fans.
