Goapele unveils her dreamy, Sean Alexander-directed visuals for “Stay,” and taps BJ The Chicago Kid for the assist.
“‘Stay’ is all about how to stay in a relationship past the newness and love stronger,” Goapele told ESSENCE (September 7th). “BJ was the perfect match for this 808 ballad. He has a classic but effortless vocal performance.”
The single, produced by Cornelio Austin, is taken off Goapele’s 10-track EP, Dreamseeker, released back in May. BJ The Chicago Kid is the only feature on the project.
