Congresswoman Shontel Brown touted the impact of her office’s casework on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, noting that in the past year, her team helped return over $12 million to constituents in northeast Ohio.
The support ranged from assistance with Social Security benefits to help navigating IRS and VA matters.
In a post on Instagram, Brown wrote, “My office returned over $12 million to constituents, including helping Pearletha from Euclid with Social Security benefits. My office is delivering for NE Ohio – if you need help with Social Security, the IRS, or the VA, give us a call.”

Accompanying the post was a video in which Brown emphasized her team’s efforts despite the challenges in Washington.
“Even with all the chaos in Washington, my office is still bettering the lives of folks in northeast Ohio. Thanks to my casework team, we’ve brought back over $12 million to my constituents through casework,” she said.
The video also featured a testimonial from Felita Taylor of Euclid, who received assistance with her husband’s Social Security benefits.
Taylor expressed her gratitude, saying, “I applied for the Social Security and I was having problems. I called Chantel Brown’s office and was able to receive help with no problems. Thank you, Congresswoman Shontel Brown, for voting for the Social Security Fairness Act. That’s amazing!”
Brown’s office encourages constituents in need of help with federal programs to contact her team directly at 216-522-4900.
