BET Cancels ‘The Quad’ After Two Seasons

by Yah Yah

It’s a sad day for fans of BET’s ‘The Quad.’

BET announced that it would be canceling the series, less than a week after its second-season finale.

The HBCU scripted drama starred Anika Noni Rose and Ruben Santiago-Hudson.

Co-creator Felicia Henderson released the following statement via her social media pages.

The network did give subscribers some good news. A ‘Boomerang’ reboot is currently in the works, and they have also picked up comedy ‘Peachtree Place,’ produced by Will Packer and drama, ‘American Soul’ which is inspired by the life of the late Soul Train legend, Don Cornelius.

BET are striving to deliver more original content. We look forward to it, but they really need to bring ‘Being Mary Jane’ back.
