Muni Long is sharing how a breakup led to a major disruption in both her personal life and career, revealing that she was left without access to her phone during a critical period.
The singer, born Priscilla Renea, explained that her ex allegedly cut off her phone service when their relationship ended, disconnecting her from contacts for an extended time. The situation, she said, had real consequences for her work, as she lost “so many” relationships and business opportunities while she was unreachable.
According to Muni Long, the issue dates back to February 2024. During that time, she was unable to respond to calls or messages, leading some people in her network to believe she was ignoring them. She later addressed the situation publicly, apologizing to those who may have felt overlooked and clarifying that the circumstances were beyond her control.
In a recent post, she confirmed that she has now regained access to her original phone number, marking the moment as a return to normalcy. “To everyone who thought I was ignoring them… I apologize,” she wrote, before adding that she is now back and reachable again.
While she did not detail how the situation was resolved or how long her number remained inactive, her update signals a fresh start as she reconnects with her professional circle.
The revelation comes months after Muni Long announced her separation from her husband, Raysean Hairston, in August 2024. The couple, who married in 2014 and share one child, also worked together through Supergiant Records before deciding to part ways. At the time, she said the relationship “just didn’t work out,” and later drew inspiration from the experience for her album Revenge.
Now, with her phone access restored and communication lines reopened, Muni Long is resuming her routine, reconnecting with contacts and returning to business as usual.
