Global superstar Rihanna has revealed that she is gearing up to release a cookbook — adding the culinary arts to her plethora of talents.
Speaking to Closer, Riri shared that the Caribbean cookbook is inspired by some of her favorite Bajan dishes.
“I love what I do – but I am always busy and quarantine gave me the time to do things I wouldn’t always have been able to do – watch an entire box set in a day, cook, go for walk. It’s important we do little things we enjoy and are kind to ourselves,” said RiRi. “At first it was strange because I am not used to being still – but during quarantine, you have no choice but to be still. Then you start to realize during lockdown you are stuck there with your own thoughts and your imagination and it really helped my creativity blossom.”
Just like everything the multi-talented star touches, we’re certain her cookbook will be a tremendous success.
Rihanna made headlines last month after her Savage X Fenty catwalk show, premiered on Amazon Prime last month, included a diverse range of models — the most inclusive lingerie line to date.
“Diversity is about so much more than colour. As women, we are different shapes, we are different sizes and inclusivity is so important we don’t want anybody feeling left out. Diversity is something that should be celebrated and I hope that is what we are doing,” she says.
“Feeling comfortable in your own skin is a journey. We all have to learn self-love. If we really think about it, I am sure we can all find flaws with our body – but when we really learn to love ourselves, then we end up embracing our flaws.”
