Teyana Taylor is effortlessly kicking upstream after her recently released Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem” sneakers sold out within moments of its release Thursday.
The inaugural partnership with the Jordan Brand symbolizes her “journey as a rose navigating through the concrete” and was made to champion for “anyone who’s overcome a struggle,” the performing artist said.
On Instagram, the A Thousand and One star shared images from the shoe’s campaign. In a series of images, her daughter Junie along with her mother and grandmother are seen wearing the yellow, red, black and white color scheme, ornamented with zig-zag stitching and two-tone outsole that matches the Air Jordan retro.
“I present my Nana, My Mama, and My Seed. (Rue was knocked … but we can say she was planted),” she wrote in the caption of the post.
While most fans who were able to snag a pair were happy with their purchase, others who were not as fortunate blame bots for allegedly flooding the app where they could buy a pair of the kicks.
“It sucks your actual fans had to compete against bots,” one commenter wrote underneath the post. “I placed my order at exactly 9 AM and still didn’t get them. I’m so hurt.”
But fans who were unable to snag a pair are in luck! The sold-out shoes can be found on resale sites, including StockX, Goat and Fight Club.
In addition to the sneakers, an apparel collection is also available, which channels “early-2000s New York aesthetic and Jordan DNA.”
The collection is priced from $60 to $175 and available in sizes from XS to XXL.
