Megan Thee Stallion Discloses What’s Next For Her Music Career After Split From Label

by Gee NY

Megan Thee Stallion revealed in an Instagram Live video on Oct. 11, 2023, that she is currently not signed to any record label.

The prominent rapper disclosed to her fans that she is financing her next project independently.

She expressed her excitement about doing something independent for the first time since it was just her and her mother

She also mentioned that she does not intend to sign with a new label at the moment, as she wants to handle her career on her terms.

Megan Thee Stallion referred to her current endeavor as “Motherf—ing hot girl productions.”

In the IG live video, she also poked fun at her former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, alleging that her former label was sabotaging the promotion of her 2022 album “Traumazine.”

“My label already told me. They was like, ‘Bitch, ‘Traumazine’ going to hell,'” she joked in the video.

Megan had been involved in a legal battle with 1501 for several years, with disputes related to her contract and the release of her music

She even sought $1 million in relief from the label in August 2022.

It’s worth noting that this information is as of Oct. 11 and the situation may have evolved since then.

According to People, Megan Thee Stallion and reps for 1501 Entertainment, and 300 Entertainment did not respond to requests for comment.

The “Savage” musician is not new to controversy. In 2022, ShineMyCrown covered the headlines-grabbing case in which Tory Lanez was alleged to have shot Megan Thee Stallion in the feet back in 2020.

In shocking testimony, Megan’s ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris, told jurors she wasn’t sure whether Tory shot her before adding that she wasn’t sure where the gunshot residue found on her hands came from.
