Virginia “Gina” Huynh, who was identified as “Victim 3” in the case, has penned a letter to the judge, urging Diddy’s release from jail. This comes as a shock to many, as Huynh was initially supposed to testify against him.
The ongoing legal drama surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken another surprising turn.
Huynh’s letter was included as an exhibit in the latest filing from Combs’ defense team. The defense is attempting to secure Diddy’s release on bail ahead of his sentencing, scheduled for October 3. Huynh, who has now identified herself by name for the first time, wrote to the judge that she believes Combs poses no danger to the community. She also described him as a committed family man “who has not been violent in many years.”
In her letter, Huynh shared her observations about Diddy’s character, stating, “Our relationship, like many, was not always perfect; we experienced ups and downs, and mistakes were made, but he was willing to acknowledge his mistakes and make better decisions in the future.”
This new development is especially confusing given Huynh’s past claims about her relationship with Diddy. The two reportedly dated for five years, from 2014 to 2019. In a previous interview, Huynh detailed an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. She also claimed that Diddy asked her to get two abortions, at one point offering her $50,000 for the procedure.
Before the trial began, prosecutors alerted the court that they had lost touch with “Victim 3” and her attorney. They expressed concern that she might not show up to testify. It now appears that Diddy’s defense team has included her letter as an attempt to get him released.
Diddy was convicted last month on two charges of “transportation to engage in prostitution.” He was, however, acquitted on more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
As the case continues, Huynh’s letter adds another layer of complexity to the Diddy saga. While she claims he has made an effort to be a better man, her past accusations paint a very different picture. The public is now left to wonder which version of the story is the real one, and whether the judge will be swayed by her newfound support for the disgraced mogul.
