It’s been almost fifteen years since the release of their last album 3D and more than two years since their Kickstarter campaign, T-Boz and Chilli recently released their final self-titled album.
The 12-track album was released almost a week ago but was unfortunately overshadowed by Jay-Z‘s 4:44 album. TLC’s new album is precisely the empowering playlist we’ve all been waiting for. They have not oversaturated the project with guest appearances, instead, they’ve enlisted Snoop Dogg for the nostalgic “Way Back”. Singles “Haters” and the anthemic “Aye Muthafucka” display that TLC undeniable edge we fell in love with back in the 90’s when CrazySexyCool owned everything!
If you’re a die-hard TLC fan, it’s hard to not love this album. In what can only be described as a touching farewell letter to fans, it provides the closure needed for both TLC and fans alike. Well worth your coins!
