Naomi Campbell – the icon, the legend and the forever moment – is not allowing anyone to call her out her name.
During a recent taping of the I’m A Celebrity spinoff show, former model Janice Dickinson reignited an age-old feud between her and Campbell after sharing some not-so-nice words about the supermodel.
It all went down when British musician Myleene Klass asked Dickinson what Naomi was like and whether she was more than she bargained for.
“What do you think modeling does to young girls?” Klass asked. “Because everyone is really scrutinizing it now. You know, like, it’s not PC, they shouldn’t be doing it.”
To which Dickinson replied, “It depends. Like Naomi Campbell for example is a total b*tch. She’s not nice to her assistants, she’s always late. The industry turned her into a monster.”
Well, it appears the British runway star did not take a liking to Dickinson’s comments. In an Instagram Story, she reposted a quote that read “Keep my name out of your mouths.”
Campbell has successfully been able to rebrand her image after a string of allegations suggested she was a violent and incontrollable diva. Some allegations include the 1998 accusation stating that she punched a personal assistant and hit her with a telephone while at a Toronto hotel and the 2005 allegation of her reportedly beating an assistant with a Blackberry during an argument in Brazil.
She has since been involved in several philanthropic causes, including her work with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, in which she coordinated a benefit Versace fashion show. She also supports Breakthrough Breast Cancer and was featured in For Him Magazine’s charity single, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? She has also been named an ambassador of Rio de Janeiro by Mayor Cesar Maia for her work to fight poverty in Brazil and was awarded an Honorary Patronage of Trinity College’s University Philosophical Society for activism and charitable works.
