While many mark their 95th birthday with a quiet gathering, Mary Marson from Surrey Quays in the United Kingdom chose to celebrate by doing what she loves most—attending her regular Zumba class.
The great-grandmother, who has been committed to the fitness routine since 2017, remains dedicated to staying active and hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Marson, who participates in classes three days a week, credits her love for Zumba to its lively music and the sense of community it provides.
“I love the music. I love everything about it. It feels to me as if they’re my family,” she said in a video shared by the BBC.
Surrounded by fellow fitness enthusiasts, she expressed gratitude for the warm and welcoming atmosphere that keeps her motivated.
Her daughter, Glen Garcia, spoke proudly about her mother’s energetic spirit and independence.
“Mummy is everything. She’s just always been so exemplary in everything she does. Her positive attitude, her zest for life—it’s just been great to be around all these years. And to have a mum at 95 that I don’t need to support in any way other than just to be around—it’s amazing,” she said.

As a mother of four, grandmother of four, and great-grandmother of six, Marson continues to lead by example, showing that age is no barrier to an active lifestyle.
Her advice to others? “Don’t be afraid, don’t think that you can’t do it. You have got to be strong-willed, know what is good for you, and stick to it.”
Her story has resonated widely, inspiring many to embrace movement and well-being at any stage of life.
