Meet Robyn Roberts, a 63-year-old grandmother of 33 and great-grandmother of 12, whose recent college graduation from Southern New Hampshire University has inspired millions online.

Her remarkable story is a testament to the enduring spirit of learning.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Roberts expressed her elation at completing this extraordinary journey.

“I have finished something I started that is absolutely amazing, and I feel amazing,” she shared.

Her foray into higher education was sparked by a friendly challenge from her high school grandson, who proposed, “I’ll do it if you do it.”

Thus, a unique competition emerged, complete with a GPA contest that Roberts proudly clinched.

Armed with a degree in business administration, this soon-to-be 64-year-old grandmother is now setting her sights on law school, driven by a deep-seated desire to support survivors of abuse.

Optimistic about the future, she declared:

“64 is the year of new beginnings. If all goes well, by the time I turn 67, I’ll be a lawyer.”

Balancing her academic pursuits with the responsibilities of running a hazardous materials and government equipment trucking business alongside her husband, Roberts expressed gratitude to SNHU for accommodating her studies amid a busy schedule.

“I did 90% of my studies from inside my semi-truck,” she revealed, highlighting her dedication even during travels.

The story doesn’t end with graduation, as Roberts, on her way to the ceremony, made pit stops in Dover, Delaware, and has plans to visit New York and Arkansas.

Her whirlwind journey concludes in her hometown of Las Vegas, where she will host a Thanksgiving dinner for an impressive gathering of 38 people.
