Ahlaam, a rising voice in the health and wellness space known to her Instagram followers as @healthwithahlaam, is reaching out to women with natural remedies to pain-free periods.
She has candidly shared how she transformed her painful menstrual cycles into pain-free ones, without medication or surgery. Ahlaam opened up about her journey in an Instagram video post that quickly gained traction.
“I used to miss school, cancel plans, and dread my period every month,” she wrote. “These 3 changes helped me go from painful to pain-free. It’s not overnight but it’s possible.”
1. Anti-Inflammatory Diet Reset
Ahlaam revealed that her wellness breakthrough started with a strict anti-inflammatory diet recommended by her doctor. For six months, she cut out sugar and caffeine entirely and focused on eating whole foods and lean protein.
“It was very strict,” she said, “but I think it restarted my system because I was able to experience my first painless period—and it was life-changing.”
Although she no longer follows the diet to the letter, she still keeps her meals 80% whole-food based and avoids fried foods. “Every month shows for it,” she added.
2. Raspberry Leaf Tea as Natural Relief

Next on her list of remedies is raspberry leaf tea, a plant-based herbal tea often used for uterine health.
Ahlaam recommends drinking two bags of raspberry leaf tea a few days before menstruation and on the first day of a period. “It works faster than Tylenol for me,” she said. “It’s insane. It’s life-changing.”
3. Cycle Syncing and Cutting Iced Coffee
Ahlaam also embraced cycle syncing, an approach to hormonal wellness that involves aligning food, exercise, and habits with the four phases of the menstrual cycle.
She pays special attention during her luteal phase, winding down caffeine, skipping iced drinks, and opting for warm meals and beverages.
“When I’m having a lot of iced drinks and caffeinated drinks, that gives me cramps,” she explained. “So I try to stop coffee intake two days before my period.”
A Note on Organic Pads
Though not part of her top three, Ahlaam also credited organic menstrual products for making a noticeable difference.
“You’ve gotta figure out what you are using,” she said. “It definitely impacts your cycle as well.”
A Message of Hope for Women in Pain
Ahlaam’s post resonated with thousands of viewers who have long struggled with menstrual pain. While her experience is personal and individual results may vary, the post encourages many to explore holistic approaches alongside medical advice.
“This is not medical advice,” Ahlaam clarified her video, “just sharing what worked for me in case it helps another woman feel more in control of her cycle.”
As more women seek alternatives to painkillers and invasive treatments, Ahlaam’s video brings some potentially helpful ways women can move from painful to painless periods.
