A Wrinkle in Time and Academy-Award nominated 13th director Ava DuVernay will be making a documentary on the legendary musician and activist Prince for Netflix.
Prince Rogers Nelson died from an accidental drug overdose back in April 2016. It has been reported that DuVernay has been given the green light from the singer’s family and estate, which has granted her access to his recordings and unreleased music. DuVernay has made several visits to Paisley Park and his studio.
While there’s no estimated release date for the Prince documentary at this time, Shine My Crown could not be more excited! Congratulations, Ava!
