BAFTA Winner Wunmi Mosaku Joins Fifth Season of Luther | @Wunmo

British actress Wunmi Mosaku will join Idris Elba in the fifth season of Emmy-nominated crime series Luther.

Mosaku will star as D.S. Catherine Halliday, won a BAFTA for her role in the BBC drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy, and can currently be seen starring in the Netflix series, The End Of The F**cking World.

Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, says: “It’s fantastic to have Idris Elba and the team back filming in London and we are thrilled that the exceptional Wunmi Mosaku will be returning to BBC One to join this already stellar cast. Neil Cross’ scripts for this fifth series of Luther are explosive and fans won’t be disappointed.” Hilary Salmon, Executive Producer for BBC Studios, says: “There aren’t many shows where the first day of filming feels like an event but Luther is certainly one of them. Thrilled to be in production with a new series of the show that has set the bar in terms of British television crime drama.”

Shooting of the new series has already begun. We are psyched for the new series of Luther! And if you haven’t already checked out The End Of The F**cking World, you really should. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!
