Beyoncé’s Mom Tina Knowles Defends Daughter Against Trolls After Show-Stopping Christmas Halftime Performance

Tina Knowles isn’t letting online trolls dim her daughter Beyoncé’s shine.

The 70-year-old matriarch clapped back on Instagram, defending the superstar after negative comments surfaced about her dazzling Christmas Day halftime performance during the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game.

Tina’s Fiery Response

Reposting an Instagram quote that read, “No matter how undeniably talented you are, people will always, ALWAYS, always have some negative ish to say,” Tina added her own powerful sentiments:

“It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate…so that you can go talk ish about it later.”.

She continued to call out detractors as “obsessed” and advised them to watch “goofy cartoons or Bozo the clown” next time.

Closing with inspiration, Tina quoted Isaiah 54:7, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper,” and praised Beyoncé’s “warrior spirit” for rising above the negativity.

The Beyoncé Bowl

Dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl,” the halftime performance has already earned legendary status. In her hometown of Houston, Beyoncé graced the stage in a white-feathered gown, cowboy hat, and a red, white, and blue “Cowboy Carter” sash.

The 13-minute set featured a star-studded lineup, including Shaboozey, who collaborated on “SWEET ★ HONEY ★ BUCKIIN’,” and Post Malone with a rendition of “LEVII’S JEANS.”

Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, joined her for a heartfelt duet of “Texas Hold ‘Em,” creating a memorable mother-daughter moment.

Streaming Now on Netflix

For fans who missed the live show, Netflix announced on December 27 that Beyoncé’s halftime performance is now streaming as Beyoncé Bowl.

This marks the platform’s first collaboration with the NFL, ensuring the epic Christmas Gameday set can be relived again and again.

With her performance and Tina Knowles’ unwavering defense, Beyoncé proves yet again why she remains untouchable as a global icon.
