Cynthia Bailey made it to the final three on “Celebrity Big Brother,” however, she was convinced by Todrick Hall and Miesha Tate to turn her back on her ally Shanna Moakler—and then they turned on her.
Todrick and Miesha’s alliance lasted throughout the season and led to the majority of the eviction outcomes.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Cynthia was shocked after realizing the full extent of the Todrick-Miesha partnership. She also regrets turning her back on Shana.
“I am still in shock, basically. I never expected to make it as far as I did. I played the only game that I knew how to play, which was to just be loyal to my alliance and to be a woman of my word, which all of those things don’t really carry much weight in the Big Brother house, I found out. But at the end of the day, it was the only way that I wanted to win, if I was able to win. So a little shocked,” she said.
“Apparently, there are some things that have happened. I just got out of the house. I have not watched the show, but my cast did not look happy today. So I am looking forward to watching the show because all I know is what my reality was in the house. And I have no idea what has been happening on this show and in the outside world.”
Another member of Cynthia’s alliance, Carson Kressley, informed her of the shady antics after she left the house. But she says at the time, she had her reasons for not having Shana’s back.
“There were a couple of things that Shanna did that made me kind of suspect, like when she flipped her vote on Teddi and she didn’t tell us. And we were like, “Hey, we’re in an alliance. We all agreed to vote for Teddi.” And then she didn’t. And then we were told that she knew that Carson and I were going up on the block and I was like, “What is an alliance if we’re not supposed to be honest with each other?” she explained.
“So now if what I’m hearing is true, and I got to watch and see for myself, it definitely sounds like I owe Shanna a huge apology personally and publicly at this point. Because I really felt like at the time, I was doing what we had to do to protect our alliance.”
