Meet Ghana’s 3-Year-Old Hair Braiding Prodigy Taking Social Media By Storm

In a small community in Tabri, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, a remarkable young talent is making waves.

At just three years old, Nancy Owusua has stunned residents and social media users alike with her extraordinary hair-braiding skills, effortlessly twisting and styling strands with precision far beyond her years.

Nancy’s journey into hairstyling began unexpectedly. Her mother, Amina Yakubu, who runs a small beauty parlor, recalls the moment she first noticed her daughter’s natural talent.

“A month and a half ago, when she returned from school, she kept asking to braid hair with us. I didn’t take her seriously until she woke up from her sleep and forcefully joined in. I was shocked at how well she could braid,” Yakubu told Accra-based Joy News.

Since then, Nancy has become a sensation, attracting customers who visit the salon just for a chance to have their hair braided by her skilled hands. Some even wait hours for her to return from school.

Her uncle, Ebenezer Akubila hopes to set and manage social media accounts on the various platforms to bring little Nancy’s exceptional hair-braiding talent to the world.

“I want the whole world to hear about her. Even if her mother isn’t around, she can rely on her skills. I keep encouraging her to continue,” Ebenzer explained.

Nancy’s popularity is fast growing on social media with many now calling her Ghana’s youngest professional braider.
