Nene Leakes has sparked a ferocious debate on the internet after sharing her opinion on cheating in relationships and how it can be excused if it is done “respectfully.”
The reality star is no novice to infidelity in relationships, as her late husband Gregg cheated on her shortly before his colon cancer diagnosis.
But according to her, she would not be so bothered if her man had another woman as long as the said mistress knew the rules and kept to her side of the game.
“Now, respectful cheating, I could deal with that. Because if I’m here, Georgia, and you went to San Francisco for the weekend—I’m saying any city. I’m saying if he went to New York for the weekend—I’m saying that what you don’t know won’t hurt you. It won’t hurt you,” Leakes said in the short clip.
The Baddies host further explained her position on the situation. “However, if you’re going to cheat, you need to do it with respect. Now you do. I don’t like people who are not respectful,” she continued. “So these are the ones that aren’t respectful. They are talking to the side piece and lying to them. First of all, you’re already lying to whoever is on the side. So if you’re going to be respectful, first you tell that person, give me 50 feet on my woman. Like, don’t ever approach me when you see me with my woman.”
Nene Leakes proceeded to lay down the first rule of “respectful cheating.”
“Number one, you can never approach. So yeah, I do agree that there has to be respectful cheating. Keep your side pieces in check.”
