North Texas Siblings, Ages 11 and 9, Seek Forever Home Together

In North Texas, two sisters, 11-year-old Have’Ana and 9-year-old Layla, are searching for a loving family to adopt them together.

These African American siblings share a deep bond and are determined to stay together as they seek a forever home.

Have’Ana, the older sister, is known for her nurturing personality and strong sense of responsibility. Whether it’s helping her younger sister with tasks or staying out of trouble, she approaches life with maturity beyond her years.

“I don’t like getting in trouble. It’s the worst thing possible because then you lose something you enjoy very much,” Have’Ana shared in an interview with WFAA. “So, I just be responsible and help Layla out.”

Layla, full of energy and love for her big sister, looks up to Have’Ana as more than just a sibling.

“She’s like a mom. She helps me when I need stuff that I forget,” Layla explained.

Have’Ana is not only caring but also excels academically, especially in Math, where she’s enrolled in advanced classes. Her creativity shines through in her love for singing and helping others.

“She [Layla] can’t make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so I make it for her. Also, she’s not very good at Math, so I help her with that too,” Have’Ana said with pride.

Layla, meanwhile, is a bundle of joy who loves music and gymnastics. She’s proud of her ability to do splits, backflips, and cartwheels, and hopes to find a family who shares her excitement and playful spirit.

“I want a family to play with me, and I want a phone,” she said with a hopeful smile.

Both sisters dream of a forever family that will accept them for who they are and provide a loving environment where they can continue to grow and support each other.
