Rep. Jasmine Crockett Predicts Trump Will Skip Debate with Harris

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Tex.) made a bold prediction on Monday, suggesting that former President Donald Trump might not attend the upcoming debate scheduled for September 10 against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Crockett, a prominent voice in the Democratic Party, voiced her speculation during an appearance on MSNBC.

“But if he does show up, he is about to get his butt handed to him,” Crockett asserted. “I’m here for it either way: He can go and cower in a corner, or he can show up and be lit on fire. Either way, I’m good.”

Crockett’s comments come on the heels of a standout moment at the Democratic Party convention in Chicago last week, where she delivered a powerful speech contrasting Trump with Harris.

“America, looking at the two choices before you, who would you hire: Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?” Crockett challenged the audience. “Kamala Harris has a resume. Donald Trump has a rap sheet. She presides over the Senate, while he keeps our national secrets next to his thinking chair.”

The reference to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence highlights ongoing concerns about the handling of classified documents, some of which were reportedly found next to a toilet.

Trump had previously committed to participating in two debates against President Joe Biden. However, with Harris now being featured on the debate stage, Trump has hinted at the possibility of not attending the upcoming event.

As the debate approaches, Crockett’s prediction adds to the mounting anticipation and scrutiny surrounding the event.
