“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Candiace Dillard has moved on from ripping strips off cast member Ashley Darby — to Mia Thornton’s mother.
Candiace was upset after Mia approached her mother on the set of her “Drive Back” video shoot and asked whether Candiace’s husband was being paid to be her manager.
Candiace was understandably offended by Mia’s line of questioning — but viewers thought Candiace went too far after Mia called Candiace’s video shoot “low budget.”
“Your mama’s low budget. Watch your mouth,” Candiace savagely clapped back.
On the show, Mia has been open about her mother’s battles with addiction. Mia suffers from feelings of abandonment and even feels that her mother is less inclined to support her emotionally because Mia is now successful.
Candiace says she did not know about Mia’s issues with her mother but says she could have said a lot worse.
“There were so many things that I wanted to say. They’re all just bubbling at the tip of my tongue right this moment. But because I was trying to be a better person and trying not to just dig so deep the way that I know that I can, I just said you know what, I’m a just go for something real light. And get off it. So yo mama. Yo mama’s low budget.” She continued, “It was a quick quip that really I thought was saving her from pain and anguish.”
Friend of the show, Askale Davis also took a pop at Mia, this time on Twitter after Mia called her “Alaska.”: “Let’s be clear, I don’t live with my mother, my mother lives with me. She moved in to help care for her grandkids. That’s what a mother does when she loves you. We’re not all “working” on our relationship. Sorry, Sis. Be blessed.”
