Keyshia Cole might be single again, but it seems like her ex, Hunxho, is still on her mind—or at least on her playlist. The R&B icon surprised fans when she went live on Instagram.
Keyshia Cole went public with Hunxho back in April of this year. She confirmed their romance by tagging the rapper on Twitter and writing “mine.” Hunxho would then repost a heart emoji.
Before addressing their 18-year-old age gap in September on his single, “Part Of The Plan,” the two experienced some relationship turbulence when Hunxcho collaborated with his ex, rapper Gloss Up, in May. The collab featured a bathtub scene for the music video, which did not sit well with Keyshia Cole.
A few months later, Keyshia and Hunxho seemingly announced that they were good with a video of the “Heaven Sent Singer” flaunting his name tattooed on her chest. Keyshia’s 43rd birthday was another occasion when the couple showed that they were still going stronger than ever.
On Tuesday, November 5, The Shade Room retrieved a screenshot of Keyshia Cole’s Instagram Story hinting that she was single. “Single asf.” She also added the audio for Trina’s song “Single Again,” with particular lyrics popping up from it. “I thought he was perfect, I don’t know,” they read in bold lettering.
Then, in the subsequent and more cryptic posts, Keyshia Cole shared a quote from Leo Tolstoy that says, “If you feel pain, you are alive. If you feel other people’s pain, you are a human being.”
In a poignant display of raw emotion, Keyshia Cole took to social media to share her feelings with her fans, listening to her ex-boyfriend’s music.
The unexpected move comes shortly after the pair’s reported breakup, leaving fans scratching their heads about the current state of their relationship. While neither Cole nor Hunxho has publicly addressed the reasons for their split, her musical choice on live has many speculations about whether the two might still share unresolved feelings.
“Too old to be crashing out over a young bull, but I was there before, too,” a fan sympathized.
Another added, “He musta put someone on her or something, or is she just ditzy & d*ckmitized.”
“Listening to someone’s music means you ain’t letting them go? Yall gotta grow up. She probably isn’t done, but listening to his music shouldn’t be the reason y’all think that,” another fan commented.
