Hollywood actress Zoë Kravitz is to make her directorial debut in the upcoming thriller, “Pussy Island.”
Kravitz will star in the movie alongside “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum.
According to Deadline, “Frida is a young, clever, Los Angeles cocktail waitress who has her eyes set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). When she skillfully maneuvers her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, she is ready for a journey of a lifetime. Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida can sense that there’s more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something terrifying.”
Given the title, we can assume that the flick is a total raunchfest. At this time, the Deadline synopsis is all we have to go on.
Kravitz has proved her acting chops, starring in several high-profile movies, including “DOPE,” “The Batman,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “X-Men: First Class,” and others. The stunning actress also executive produced and starred in the Hulu series adaptation, “High Fidelity.”
In the series, Kravitz played lead character Rob, who owns a record store in Crown Heights and is obsessed with ‘top five’ lists. Although the series actually explores Rob’s epic romance failures.
Rob not only owns a record store but she’s completely obsessed with music (a and her obsession knows no bounds. Her intense love for music is succinctly translated through its scoring, whether it be rap, disco, funk, soul, or rock.
Hulu canceled the show after just one season.
