Azealia Banks slammed Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album, saying that the album is “absolutely not!”

The Harlem rapper took aim at Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album after her earlier criticisms of the cover art, title, and Beyoncé’s new wardrobe.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé announced her decision to venture into the Country music scene with two songs, ‘Texas Hold’ Em’ and’ 16 Carriages’. The Renaissance hitmaker teased fans with snippets in a Super Bowl commercial before releasing the song.

Soon after Beyoncé’s Country music debut, Azealia Banks took to social media to accuse the ‘Single Ladies’ singer of being in “white woman cosplay.”

She further claimed that Beyoncé was “setting herself up to be ridiculed” by delving into country music.

But by the end of last month, Beyoncé had become the first Black woman to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. It also marked her first No. 1 in that genre.

Not one to back down, Banks is back with another scathing review of the ‘Cowboy Carter’ album released a few hours ago.

According to the rapper, the lyrics from the much-anticipated album were “forced” with “redundant” themes.

“Absolutely not. The themes are redundant. The lyrics are really forced. The album is too long… Lol, I started skipping around the records. Great work from the band/producers/engineers… The production/engineering was more impressive than her performances on any of the records.”

Azealia Banks kept aiming at the ‘Act II Cowboy Carter,’ pointing out strategic collabs that should have featured while marking the Beyoncé-Kelly Rowland down.

“The Miley collab was on brand but random, seeing as we know those two are not kicking it on the regular—they started dozing off… the high key should have been Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland. For culture’s sake, we should have had Taylor Swift and Kaccey Musgraves.”

Is Azealia craving the sting of the Beyhive?
