Angel Reese suffered a left wrist injury during Rose BC’s game against Vinyl BC on Monday, the same wrist that cut her WNBA debut season short last year.
The severity remains unclear, with coach Nola Henry stating:
“No update on Angel, but hopefully, we’ll have one soon. Sending her our best wishes.”
Reese exited in the third quarter after recording 10 points and 13 rebounds in 13 minutes, capping off a strong regular season where she averaged 13.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per game.
The 22-year-old LSU star previously underwent surgery for a hairline fracture in her left wrist in September, ending a promising rookie campaign with the Chicago Sky.
Before her injury, Reese was a leading Rookie of the Year contender, posting historic rebounding numbers and competing alongside Caitlin Clark.
Clark previously expressed support for Reese when the initial injury occurred, saying:
“It’s definitely sad whenever you see anyone go down… she’s had a historic year and done some incredible things.”
Reese’s status moving forward remains uncertain.
