Cardi B has been forced to cancel her highly anticipated performance at ONE Musicfest due to a medical emergency. The news, announced on social media, has shocked and saddened fans.

Earlier in August, organizers announced Cardi B as the headliner for the highly anticipated 15th anniversary of One Music Fest, which is scheduled for this month.

The Grammy-winning rapper was scheduled to join an impressive lineup of artists as the festival celebrates a decade and a half of showcasing the best in R&B, hip-hop, and soul music.

This year’s two-day celebration, hosted by Proctor & Gamble in partnership with Live Nation Urban, is scheduled for October 26 and 27 at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.

On October 23, Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, took to social media to apologize to her fans for being unable to perform at the music festival.

“I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days, and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” read the rapper’s statement on Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.

She continued, “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there. Thank you for understanding, and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love yall.”

Music festival organizers reshared Cardi B’s statement on their social platforms, adding that they were “working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.”

“Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, @iamcardib announced that she is no longer available to join us this year due to ongoing health issues. Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery!”

Other notable performers scheduled for the two-day festival include Sexyy Redd, Glorilla, Keyshia Cole, TI, Method Man, Redman, Fat Jo, Fridayy, Youngbloodz, Travis Porter, Crime Mob, Young Dro, Will Traxx, and Saucy Santana.

Additional R&B performers include Dru Hill, Fantasia, Keyshia Cole, Jeremih, Ari Lennox, Leon Thomas, Monica, and Fridayy.

The bill will also feature gospel star Koryn Hawthorne and country artist Tanner Adell, who has recently signed with LVRN Records. The new-wave country artist and recent signee will be marking her first Black festival performance.

The two-day festival debuted in 2020 and draws over 50,000 people each year. Last year’s headliners included Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and Janet Jackson.
