“Celebrity Big Brother” finalist, Cynthia Bailey, has opened up about her ever-evolving friendship with “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Kenya Moore.
The former besties both starred in Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” and while the trip should have brought them closer together, viewers were shocked to see the Housewives clash on multiple occasions.
During a recent interview on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Cynthia was asked about where her friendship with Kenya now stands.
“We are not like we were before the girls trip,” Cynthia said. “Again, I will always have love in my heart for Kenya. Relationships and friendships go up and down, and it’s really tough to — I’ve learned — to maintain healthy relationships when you work together on a platform like this sometimes.”
While they may not be as close as they once were, Cynthia says there’s nothing but “love” between them.
“I love Kenya. I will always have love for her, but we are not where we used to be,” she continued. “I’m so happy for her. I think she did amazing on Dancing with the Stars. I was cheering for her,” she added. “[Her daughter] Brooklyn is incredible. She’s so beautiful. And I’m good. I’m good. And I love her.”
During a show confessional, Kenya admitted that she felt Cynthia’s issues with her during filming stemmed from jealousy.
“You know, it’s interesting because on my show, I’m usually the one that’s being pushed out from the friend circle. But here, I’m vibing with everyone. I’m finally feeling like people can see who I really am. And they like me. I think that Cynthia is just jealous because she’s not really vibing with these women,” she told producers.
Cynthia also confessed that she felt slightly jealous of Kenya’s close relationship with “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, Melissa Gorga.
“I’ve just never had to fight for Kenya’s attention before because, in our group of girls, she doesn’t have that many friends,” she shared.
