Authorities in Cleveland have identified two young girls whose bodies were discovered inside separate suitcases, a case that has shocked residents and prompted an ongoing homicide investigation.

According to information shared by a Cleveland remembrance page on Facebook, the victims have been identified as sisters Amor Wilson and Mila Chatman.

Police say their mother, 28-year-old Aliyah Henderson, has been charged with murder and child endangerment in connection with the case.

Investigators say the grim discovery was made earlier this week when a man walking his dog noticed something unusual. After the dog picked up a strong scent in the area, the man contacted police, who responded and made the discovery.

Officers reportedly found the body of one child inside a suitcase. A second suitcase located nearby contained the body of another young child.

Authorities said the sisters had never been reported missing, and investigators are still working to determine how long the children had been deceased prior to their discovery.

Cleveland police have not released extensive details about the timeline of events leading up to the children’s deaths, and the investigation remains ongoing as detectives gather evidence and conduct interviews.

The case has drawn significant attention online and within the Cleveland community, where residents have expressed shock and grief over the deaths of the two girls.

Officials say more information may be released as the investigation progresses and court proceedings move forward.
