Savanah Soto: Deaths Of Pregnant Teenager And Her Boyfriend Traced To A Father-Son Duo

by Gee NY

San Antonio police announced on Wednesday night that they have arrested a father and son in connection with the deaths of pregnant teenager Savanah Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra.

The bodies were discovered in a car parked at an apartment complex last week.

The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Christopher Preciado and 53-year-old Ramon Preciado, were apprehended by authorities.

According to Sgt. Washington Moscoso, Christopher Preciado will face capital murder charges, while his father, Ramon Preciado, will be charged with abuse of a corpse. Additional charges may be brought against them as the investigation progresses.

Last week, the bodies of Soto and Guerra were found in a Kia Optima parked at an apartment complex. Soto, who was full-term pregnant, had gone missing after her expected delivery date, causing significant concern among her family members.

Critical information for the investigation was obtained from Soto’s cellphone, collected at the crime scene. Detectives utilized the phone to locate a possible suspect vehicle through surveillance footage. This led them to the residence of the suspects.

Moscoso revealed that the incident seemed to stem from a possible narcotics deal gone wrong. He mentioned that the father was not present during the murders but was contacted afterward.

When questioned about potential charges related to the death of Soto’s unborn child, Moscoso stated that detectives would discuss it with the district attorney, who would determine whether additional charges would be filed.

Both suspects were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed based on the information gathered during the interview.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.

The victims, Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra, both had gunshot wounds, according to the initial police report. The medical examiner identified the victims in the days following the discovery.

Authorities had previously released footage of two persons of interest driving the victims’ Kia Optima and a dark-colored pickup truck.

The police investigation and subsequent arrests aim to bring justice to the families affected by this tragic incident.
