Following the assault, she was struck by a car and later died at a local hospital, reports People. The medical examiner determined that her cause of death was blunt force injuries, officially ruling it a homicide.
The driver of the car that hit Roberson remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
As of October 20, no arrests have been made in connection to the assault. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to the identification and conviction of the person responsible for the attack.

Homicide detectives have confirmed that Jermarcus Jernigan, 17, was issued an arrest warrant and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm. He is being charged as an adult under Georgia law.
