The trend of Brazilian butt lifts doesn’t seem to be going away and Atlanta rapper Omerettà the Great has no problem injecting herself into the conversation to poke fun at some who choose to undergo the procedure.
In a recent Instagram post, the 26-year-old Sorry Not Sorry star is seen dancing in a pair of burgundy pants filled with stuffing to give the illusion of a bigger and botched-looking romp.
“New BBL y’all like it,” the caption to the video reads.
The post comes on the heels of a new wave that has taken hold in Hollywood. Most recently, Blac Chyna, Queen Naija, Cardi B and K. Michelle are just a few who have decided to have their derrieres reduced for a variety of reasons.
“I just want all the ladies out there to know, do not get silicone shots because you can get sick, you can die, have complications and all this other crazy stuff,” Blac Chyna said in an Instagram post.
Last December, Cardi B also admitted that she “removed my ass shots out of my butt. I removed 95 percent of it. And young girls – not young girls because it’s young and older – whatever you do, don’t get ass shots. I’m really against them.”
“Before you get your BBL done, you have to make sure your blood levels are all right,” she recommended. “If a doctor says your blood levels are too low or you have diabetes or whatever, don’t do it.”
And in March last year, K. Michelle said that she needed to have 13 operations to recuperate from complications from botched butt shots procedures.
BBLs have grown increasingly widespread over the recent years but have been condemned for its hazardous side effects and have been linked to several deaths.
The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation in Aesthetic recently revealed that two out of every 6,000 BBLs lead to death. Three percent of the 692 surgeons surveyed confessed that their patient had died during the controversial BBL procedure.
