Tamar Braxton is giving fans a scare. The singer, actor, and reality TV star took to Instagram to share a shocking confession, revealing that she “almost died” in a weekend accident that she doesn’t even remember.
“I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury,” the Braxton sister wrote in a post on Tuesday. “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth, and mobility.” She added, “I don’t even know what happened to me.”
Tamar Braxton, 48, had earlier posted on her Instagram story, “Thank you God for waking me up today.” She said she was getting calls in response and was struggling to talk, so she decided to share what had happened to her.
“The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins… pray for me for real,” she wrote. Before the injury, the star had posted a quote reading: ‘Thank you God for waking me up today.’ After the incident, she shared a passage from the Bible, specifically Proverbs 31.
The news comes after Tamar announced earlier this year that she was prioritizing her health, with plans to go on tour again. She wrote on Instagram, “Bday is over, so no more drinks… No more carbs… all body and VOICE!!! Me and my brother @octoberlondon and I, @octoberlondon, are going to give you a night you won’t forget. See ya soon.”
Tamar Braxton has been open about her health history in the past. In 2021, she shared an update after she was hospitalized following an episode in which she was found unresponsive.
