The retreat is aimed at promoting mental, physical, and spiritual well-being for individuals of the African Diaspora and is designed to address the impact of racism-related trauma. It offers an opportunity for participants to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing.
Roberts, a certified life coach, yoga instructor, and energy healer, curates the retreat to include healing plant-based foods, workshops, yoga, meditation, dance, drumming lessons, and exposure to Ghana’s natural beauty.
Roberts, well aware of the historical narrative that often portrayed Africa negatively, states:
“When I was growing up in the 80s, I didn’t think Africa was a desirable place to visit. We were taught it was nothing more than a jungle filled with poverty, famine, and disease.”
However, her perception changed when she reconnected with a cousin living in Ghana, which inspiring her to lead the first Ghana Soul-Healing Retreat.
Roberts, founder of the Mind-Blowing Happiness coaching company, believes in the power of intentional and focused healing, urging participants to step out of their comfort zones for a life-changing transformation.
Applications are now open for the upcoming retreat scheduled to launch on February 28.
