Yvette Nicole Brown will be making ABC her home for the near future.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she has been tapped to star in ABC’s new comedy ‘Most Likely To.’
The project revolves around Liz Cooney (currently uncast), who, in high school, had everything, and Markie McQueen, who had nothing. Twenty years later, they’re reunited under the same roof as single moms and unlikely housemates. Brown will be starring as Markie, who is described as radiant and warm, quietly confident, with a successful salon and brilliant daughter — but her insecurities are reignited when her high school bully arrives in town.
This is great news for Brown who had been starring in the network’s now-canceled show, The Mayor. Despite the studio attempting to shop around, there were sadly no takers. The series actually received good reviews from critics, but the appeal just wasn’t there for the viewers.
Cody, Berlanti, and his Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions topper Sarah Schechter will executive produce ‘Most Likely To’ and was written by written by Diablo Cody (Paradise, Juno, United States of Tara),
Brown has starred in several large television comedies including Community, The Office and of course, The Mayor.
