In a remarkable display of endurance and compassion, 64-year-old Sally Njeri swam continuously for six hours to raise funds for autistic children and lifesaving equipment for the Kenya Life Savers Federation.
Her inspirational feat took place on Nov. 2, 2024, capturing the hearts of many who rallied behind her cause.
Sally, a professional swimmer and volunteer diver with the Kenya Life Savers Federation, began her marathon swim at 8:55 a.m.
Despite encountering muscle cramps just 26 minutes before the end, she pressed on to complete the full six hours.
Her dedication highlighted the challenges of the journey, but Sally remained steadfast, driven by a mission to support often-overlooked children with autism and the critical work of rescue divers.
“Today I am doing a six-hour challenge… I am raising funds for children with autism and lifesaving rescue divers,” Sally shared before diving in.
She encouraged her supporters to contribute, emphasizing that every donation, no matter the amount, would make a difference.
“Let us support these children… so we can leave them with a smile on their faces,” she said.
The event raised funds, brought awareness for both causes and inspired her community and followers.
