A source close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has revealed that their marriage is on the rocks.
“They used to be inseparable,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “But this summer, things started to change.”
The insider revealed that while Prince Harry was back in London to handle legal issues, Meghan was partying without him in Montecito. He left again in August for a charity polo match in Singapore, then flew to Japan. Meanwhile, Meghan attended a Taylor Swift concert in Los Angeles and celebrated her belated 42nd birthday with friends.
“They seem to be spending more and more time apart. It’s not a good sign.”
The source further pointed out that Meghan hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring lately, adding that their increasingly negative public opinion and struggling business ventures are putting a strain on their marriage.
“Meghan has claimed the ring is being repaired, but she’s been spotted on multiple occasions without it since May, and she has to know that not wearing it would cause divorce rumors to explode,” the source said. “Some people think she did it on purpose to send a subtle message to Harry that she’s not happy in the marriage.”
The last time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted together was on Friday when they attended Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour show at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, alongside Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.
But the source says the couple’s move back stateside from the United Kingdom has been tough.
“Moving to California was supposed to be a fresh start, not the beginning of the end,” the source said. “Harry and Meghan still love each other very much, but they have a lot of regrets about how they’ve handled things since moving to California, and very different ideas about how to move forward. Friends of theirs are really worried about whether the two can survive these major bumps in the road.”
