At 73 years young, Chef Babette Davis is redefining what it means to age gracefully. The vibrant chef, born in 1950, recently opened up about her approach to health and wellness, sharing a powerful message about self-care, natural remedies, and clean living.
In an intimate discussion, Chef Babette addressed the burning question she often gets: What’s your secret to looking and feeling so amazing?
The renowned fitness enthusiasts credit her glowing skin to a combination of her natural melanated complexion and the magic of coconut oil. But her beauty secrets go deeper than skincare—her vitality comes from a lifestyle rooted in fasting, detoxing, and mindful movement.
A dedicated vegan for over 25 years, Babette Davis revealed that she fasts at least four times a year, an essential part of her routine to maintain her incredible health. She shared one of her most memorable cleansing experiences.
“I took 8 ounces of cold-pressed olive oil, 5 CKLX capsules, and drank half a cup of lemon juice. I woke up and passed gallstones all day long until I had to go to work. It gives me life—a good life. A healthy life. I feel amazing every single day.”
Chef Babette also noted that staying active is non-negotiable. She believes consistent movement is one of the most critical factors in her ability to feel fabulous at 73.
“I have girlfriends that I went to school with who are my age and took a different route. And, of course, we are gonna look different. I have to have it. The movement is key.
“By the time I’m 100, who knows what I would look like. But I embrace those different looks because I’ve done my best to care for me. And however, I’m supposed to look, that’s how I’m gonna look,” Chef Babette added.
Chef Babette is also passionate about the importance of clean eating and the dangers of processed foods. She doesn’t hold back when addressing the health consequences of diets filled with overly processed, chemically laden products.
“They eat out of boxes and bags. And so you turn those packages over, and you read the ingredients, and it’s got two paragraphs of words you can’t even pronounce. Do you have any idea what this is? And they have different chemicals in both. How do you even know if those chemicals should be eaten together?”
